MATCH REPORTS
Year 5 (U10) Tournament at St Francis School On Wednesday 12th
November
Leaden Hall’s Year 5 (U10) A team played a tournament at St Francis
School. We arrived there and went straight to the courts. We were
very nervous. Our first match was against Warminster - they won the
toss and chose first centre pass. We were not disheartened and tried
really hard. Our shooters were amazing and shot 3 goals in 6 minutes.
We were very pleased and we could tell Mrs Thomas was too!
Our 2nd match was against St Francis and they won the toss and chose
to start. We still won!
Our next match was against The Mill and they won 4 - 1. We were a
little disappointed but we had been warned they were good.
Next it was Thorn Grove we won 6-1! We had done so well that we had
got to the semi-final against Marlston house. They won but we weren't
too sad because they had won all of the other matches that they had
played. We were worried about the next match which was against The
Mill. We had played against them already and lost. That made us
nervous but we won 1 – 0 and were very pleased!
We went in and had a delicious tea. We would like to say a big ‘Thank
You’ to Mrs Thomas for her driving and umpiring, to Mrs Belsy for her
support, and St Francis for hosting the matches and for a great tea.
We cam 3rd out of 11 schools.
